Breeding and Conservation

One of our primary goals at Parkhill is to adopt a breeding programme that will help our Rare Breeds to survive and thrive. Our Large Black sows come from a rare line and we intend to put them to a pedigree Large Black boar at the end of 2017. Our Oxford Sandy and Blacks are growing in popularity but are still on the RBST Watchlist. We are looking to produce good quality pigs capable of registration to ensure the future of these wonderful pigs.

Our British White cattle are the only herd so far in Scotland. We hope to bring a bull in this year now the heifers are of an age to breed.
