New Piglets settling in

Its been a busy few months at Parkhill, with pigs farrowing, sheep lambing and cows calving!

Our latest litter of piglets have had a hard start to life. Their mother Apricot was one of our first sows, and unfortunately appears to have caught a virus after farrowing, leaving her 9 piglets behind at 3 weeks old. It was a great shame as she was a really friendly sow and a great mother.

However, pleased to say that they are all thriving and growing, and there is no reason to suggest that they will not carry on to grow well. We are not intending to breed from any of them, so they will be split up at about 8 weeks and moved to new paddocks in the woods.
