Availability – we are a small farm with a limited supply of meat. We like it that way, because it means we can give our livestock the care and attention it deserves and gives you the best possible product. We do not ‘buy in’ meat to fulfill orders. We try to update the website regularly with stock levels, but we may not have items immediately available. As soon as we receive your order we will contact you to advise availability and approximate delivery date. If we do not have fresh products available, we will sometimes be able to provide frozen produce, if required.
Shelf Life – We sell on the basis that you will refrigerate our meat boxes immediately on delivery. Any meat that is not utilized within 24 hours of delivery should be placed in the freezer, and defrosted in accordance with your normal practice before use.
Packaging – all items are vacuum packed, with the exception of sausages which are wrapped to preserve their shape. All items are labeled and for delivery are placed in a chilled insulated box containing coolant packs. All our products will be dispatched by overnight courier.
When you place your order online, we will contact you in advance with the date of your delivery. We will only agree dispatch once you have confirmed that the date is acceptable. We ask you to provide an alternative shipping address or an approved safe place if there is any chance that you will not be able to receive the delivery as scheduled. Our meat boxes will normally be dispatched on a week day for delivery next day between normal working hours. We only use reliable couriers and we track each delivery. Please note that we cannot be held responsible in the event of a problem with your alternative arrangements causing your order to be spoiled.
Delivery Charges – We have a single flat rate for UK delivery. Delivery of all meat boxes will be charged at a flat rate of £10 exclusive of VAT. Note that VAT is not charged on the meat products themselves. The charges for delivery include the cost of the packaging as well as the courier delivery.
As an alternative, we are happy for people to collect from us. We will also deliver free of charge in the DD11 postcode area. Please note that local deliveries or collection will not be made in the “Ice Cube” system.
Payment – Our online sales are completed using Paypal, and can be paid by debit or credit card. You do not need to have a Paypal account to pay for our meat boxes, but you will be covered by their Terms and Conditions. If you prefer, you can place your order and pay by BACS transfer.
For any sales within a small radius from our farm, we will accept cash or cheque on delivery. Buyers in the local area should contact us on 01241 874167. Delivery will be free to local addresses in the DD11 postcode area.
Refund Policy – If for any reason our products do not reach you in good condition, please notify us immediately and we will investigate and arrange a replacement or refund. You must notify us either by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by phone on 01241 874167 within 2 days of confirmed delivery to your premises.
Sales Policy – We will do our very best to meet your requirements at all times. However at times we may be unable to fulfill your order. Therefore, we will only accept your order once we have confirmed we can supply or provide alternatives. In the event of being unable to complete the order we will refund all moneys paid immediately, subject to the normal working practices of the Banking system.
